Childish Major? Learn about the producer turned artist

Childish Major who? I didn’t know who this person was either, until I came a across a new EP that had just been released. Woo$ah is something different, it really hit all those points for me, this is a well-rounded and balanced EP.

Markus Randle, aka. Childish Major, is an Atlanta, GA-based rapper and producer. He quickly rose to fame for producing 2013 hit single “U.O.E.N.O.” Childish is credited for producing J. Cole’s “4 Your Eyez Only”, when I read this I was honestly shook. That is big, and for someone of his age, really showcasing his talent like that is unreal. You have got to remember that J Cole is a phenomenal rapper and he is very selective with who he works with. I mean that man hasn’t had a feature on his album since his album Born Sinner released 2013. So, to be able to help him and work with him, is a little bit of an honour. He is also credited for working with artists like J.I.D, 6LACK, Juicy J, and many more.

On July 7th, 2017, Childish released his debut as an artist titled WOO$AH. This EP was released quite a while ago, and I am surprised that I had never come across it, or Childish Major himself. It just goes to show that unless you go looking for it you won’t find it. Only 5 months after its release have I come across it. I am kind of glad that I have only come across it now, I’ve missed all that hype that would’ve been surrounded by the artist – this gives me an opportunity to listen to it without a preconception, or someone else’s idea of what the project sounds like. Cause, I have not seen or heard anything about this project or artist which is interesting.

So, for those that love that old school Drake flow with a modern vibe, I recommend that you tune into this kid. Defiantly one for the future be it his production or being an artist.
